SILVER!!!

My volleyball team just returned from provincial championships this past weekend, and i gotta tell you, there is NOTHING more fun than seeing all of the pieces fall into place at EXACTLY THE RIGHT TIME! These girls played amazing and left everything they had on the court. I saw amazing leadership and camaraderie on the court in addition to mad skillz (check out that triple block, yo!).

And through it all, I saw God move through those girls. They prayed individually on the court; they prayed together whenever there was a lull; they prayed in the time outs. And THAT folks, is the biggest win of all.

Three cups of tea....and the Girl Effect

I just finished reading this book and I could NOT put it down. I can't put into words how this book made me feel, but this is a man after my own heart. He really gets it. This is how we will change the world people!

I went to Greg Mortenson's website to check it out and found a link to The Girl Effect, which I have never heard of until today. If you have two minutes, click on the link for it and watch the movie. I got goosebumps watching it because it is exactly how i've been feeling and thinking since making my very first trip to Guatemala back in 2006. So check it out.
